2017 Grand Marshal
This year’s Grand Marshal of the parade is Mike Yesenko. Yesenko is a World War II veteran, where he served as a combat infantryman. A man who dedicated his life to helping others and the community, he was a teacher in Union for many years, and has been a dedicated member of the Township of Union History society.
What you'll see at the Parade
Featuring music by the Uptown String Band, floats, show cars, military units and vehicles, Clydesdale horses, civic and youth organizations and a historic war reenactment, the parade features something for people of all ages. There will also be a Revolutionary War Battle at 11:30am at Veterans Honor Roll & Memorial Park. For best viewing, watch the parade from Pearl Harbor Square on Stuyvesant Ave.
Pre-Memorial Day Encampment
Residents are also encouraged to stop by Friberger Park, behind Town Hall, on May 28th from 1-4pm to experience the Pre-Memorial Day Revolutionary War Encampment, featuring American and British Crown Forces and historical demonstrations.
