Property Tax Exemption - 100% Disabled Veteran or Surviving Spouse
 

Certain permanently and totally disabled war veterans or the surviving spouses of such disabled war veterans or servicepersons are granted a full property tax exemption on their dwelling homes.

APPLICATION FORMS AND WHERE TO FILE

Application Form DVSSE is available at the Township of Union Assessor's Office. Applicants should bring the required documents to the Assessor's Office prior to December 31st of the year the exemption is being claimed.

A claimant must have a wartime service-connected disability declared to be a total or 100% disability. One of the documents required is a United States Veterans Administration certification of wartime service-connected disability.
