The Office of the Township Clerk covers a wide range of
responsibilities to
assure the orderly functioning of our
municipal government. This is due to
its unique position
whereby the Clerk's office functions as a vital nerve
center
of Municipal affairs. Civic, social, judicial, legislative
and many other
matters are channeled through this busy
Municipal hub.
The Township Clerk is responsible for many statutory
functions, among
them being: Secretary to the governing body
in which capacity attends all
meetings and records the
minutes, executes all contracts, ordinances and
resolutions,
and maintains all the official records of the Township;
Secretary to the Municipal corporation, maintaining the
official Seal of the
Township; election official and issuer
of various licenses for the Township.
