Events and offerings from the Health Department...
♦ We operate a well baby clinic, which is a clinic that provides immunization for infants up to school age. This clinic is sponsored by the H.D via a contract with the Visiting Nurse and Health Services. They may call 908-352-5694 for appts. (must be a union resident). We also conduct a WIC program which is held monthly, their contact number is 908-994-5141. Both programs are held at 2493 Vauxhall Rd., (fire station 3).
♦ A Food Handler Course is held usually once a month, the dates are as follows: April 3, May 1, and June 5th. These programs are held in the Union Public Library, there is a registration fee of $30.00, which is a must! They need to call the H.D. at 908-851-8507 for further details.
♦ Tuberculosis and Sexually Transmitted Disease clinics are available for union residents, contact # 908-820-4250 (Elizabeth Health Dept.)
♦ Animal Shelter (Adopt-A-Pet), hours of operation everyday from 12-1 and 2-4 except for Wed.'s. Call 908-810-1663.
