About Union Township: The Township of Union is located in north-central Union County. It is traversed by a network of local and regional roadways including the Garden State Parkway, Interstate 78, US Route 22, and State Route 82 (Morris Avenue). The Union County municipalities of Elizabeth, Hillside, Springfield, Kenilworth, and Roselle Park, and the Essex County communities of Irvington, Maplewood, and Millburn border the Township.

Public Notice - Please be advised: New Jersey American Water will be temporarily changing its water treatment process at Raritan-Millstone and Canal Road water treatment plants from a chloramine (combined) residual to a free chlorine residual. This change will take place beginning February 1, 2012 through March. During this time period, customers may notice increase in the taste and smell of chlorine in the water. This is a normal and will only be temporary. As always, we will continue to monitor the water quality to ensure the service we deliver meets federal and state drinking water standards.
