It is a top priority of the Township of Union Police Department to protect and serve the residents of the Township of Union, utilizing the philosophy of Community Oriented Policing, which provides for the delivery of police services with a focus on the needs of the residents of the Community. It is the mission of the Union Police Department to be sensitive to the needs of community and to work with residents to improve and maintain the quality of life within the Township.

The Township of Union Police Department encourages communication and listens to the concerns of the community. ATTENTION UNION HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS GRADES 9-12
The Union Police Department has a Law Enforcement Explorer Program. Explorers receive training in CPR, traffic control, accidents, crime prevention, communications, etc. Explorers also assist the Township with community events such as the Holiday Tree Lighting, July 4th Celebration, Street Fair, etc. For additional information, contact Officer Sangster or Officer Moro, Union Police D.A.R.E./Community Policing Unit: (908) 851-5252.
