School Crossing Guards - The Traffic Bureau is responsible for the 45 school crossing guards, who cover posts within the Township. The guards are responsible for the crossing of school children at designated posts for all of Union's public and parochial schools.

ATTENTION UNION MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS GRADES 7 & 8
If you are interested in Law Enforcement as a possible career, the Union Police Department is looking for applicants for its Law Enforcement Explorer Program. Explorers receive training in CPR, traffic control, accidents, crime prevention, communications, etc. Explorers also assist the Township with community events such as the Holiday Tree Lighting, July 4th Celebration, Street Fair, etc.  For additional information or to get an application, contact Officer Nicholas Ardito, Union Police D.A.R.E./Community Policing Unit (908) 851-5252.
