Roadway:
•  Community Development Block Grant: Reconstruction of Hunt Avenue, Atlanta Avenue,
    Augustine Place, and Elm Avenue, and drainage improvements to Astoria Place.
•  Oakland Avenue & Louisa Street Area Road Program: involved roadway reconstruction and
    drainage improvements to Millton Avenue, Louisa Street,  Lafayette Avenue, Steib Terrace,
    Hoover Place, Madison Avenue, and Henry Street.
•  Minute Arms Road Program: involved roadway reconstruction and drainage improvements
    to Minute Arms Road, Broadwell Avenue, Sherwood Road, Huguenot Avenue, Lorraine
    Avenue, Carteret Avenue, Townley Avenue, Sycamore Drive,  Durham Court,  Azalea Road,
    Lum Avenue, Summit Road, Greenwood Road South  Place, Balsam Way South, Norton
    Drive, and Brookside Drive.

Parks:
•  Tennis Court Sports Lights at Biertuempfel Park. In construction - October 2008.
•    Clean-up of Robert Street Park detention basin – October 2008

Infrastructure:
•  Upgrade underground storage tank at Firehouse #2 – Construction scheduled for
    November 2008
•  Balmoral Avenue Retaining Wall Collapse. Project consists of repairing 240 feet of
    retaining wall on the Irvington Branch of Lightning Brook – completed September 2008
•  Fairway Drive Sewer Improvements – in permitting phase with NJDEP October 2008

Buildings:
•  Municipal Complex Generator upgrade – installed new generator backup system for
    Municipal Building – completed July 2008
•  Main Library Upgrades. Improvements to chiller, cooling tower, and electrical system
    – in construction October 2008
