About Manuel Figueiredo

Manuel Figueiredo is in his first three-year term on the Township Committee. He has served as Commissioner of DPW and the Fire Department

Committeeman Figueiredo has been in the education field for most of his career. He holds a B.A. and M.A. in Education from Kean University. He has further pursued non-degree graduate studies at Montclair University in Education and NJIT in Computer Information Systems.

Manuel married Rosa Delgadillo in 1988 and later moved to Union. They have four children: Jonathan, Michael, Amanda, and Ashley who are currently, or have graduated from, Union Public Schools.

Committeeman Figueiredo has been involved in our community for many years. He is a parishioner at St. Michael’s Church, and has been a member of the Connecticut Farms Civic Association and various PTA’s at schools where his children attend. He has coached in the Union Little League, the Recreation Basketball Clinics, the Boys and Girls Club, and the Union Soccer League. In addition, he volunteers his time as musical director for the Burnet Middle School musical productions and helps coordinate ticket sales for the UHS theater productions. He also served as a member of the Union Board of Education.

Committeeman Figueiredo continues to work on behalf of the residents of Union Township and offering a fresh perspective to our governing body. His love of family and community, along with sincerity and integrity, are the character traits that he brings to this governing body and the residents of Union.
