About Clifton People, Jr.

Clifton People, Jr., is no stranger to politics and community activism. After serving his community for 24 years as a County Committeeman, Mr. People is going into his third three-year term on the Township Committee.
Over the past two decades, Clifton People’s community involvement included serving on the Community Development Advisory Board, where he served as chairman for one-year, the Recreational Advisory Committee, the Community Relations Committee, the Economic Development Committee and the Senior Center Advisory Committee.
Currently, Mr. People is serving his third five-year term on the Union County Utility Authority, where he holds the office of treasurer and is the chairman of the Solid Waste Committee, respectively. In addition, he has held the office of 1st Vice President of the Democratic Club of Union for four years.
Committeeman People holds an associate degree in sociology and a B.A. in psychology from Rutgers University. His insight to the human condition is of great benefit in working to improve the quality of life for the people he was elected to serve.
