  1. Winter Weekend Celebration Continues

    December 2, 2017, 11:00 AM - 8:30 PM

    The 34th Annual Holiday Tree Lighting Celebration will take place on Saturday, December 2nd beginning at 3:00 p.m. with the ice carving demonstration by professional commercial sculptor, Bill Bywater. The tree lighting ceremony will begin at 5:00 p.m. Featuring holiday performances from local schools, the annual event draws hundreds of residents in celebration of the Holiday season. The evening will also feature arts and crafts, holiday games, food vendors and ice skating until 8:30 p.m. Union Center SID will also be sponsoring Holiday crafts, gingerbread cookie decorating contest, horse and buggy rides, photos with Santa and other activities throughout Union Center throughout the day.

    December 2, 2017, 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM @ Vauxhall Public Library

    Refresh your driving skills and you may be eligible for a multi-year discount on your car insurance. There are no tests to pass, you simply sign up and learn. Registration is required and space is limited. Please call the Vauxhall Branch Library to register: 908-851-5451. A course fee of $15 AARP member/$20 non member will be collected on the morning of the class.

  3. Live Performance! Acclaimed International Concert Violinist Dr. David Podles "The Big Stage - An Homage to Broadway"

    On Saturday, December 2 at 3pm, join us for a special musical performance by acclaimed International Concert Violinist Dr. David Podles. His program titled "The Big Stage- an Homage to Broadway" includes music from Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Fiddler on the Roof, Sound of Music, West Side Story, My Fair Lady, Hello Dolly, Chicago, Annie and more. If you missed his library performance in September, you will not want to miss him in December! Acclaimed, International Concert Violinist Dr. David Podles of Riga, Latvia, is laureate of three prestigious international competitions and received PhD in music from conservatory in Riga. He performed in symphony, chamber, opera and ballet theater orchestras both solo, in orchestra and on tour across Russia, including The Bolshoi and Kirov, throughout Europe and the U.S. David has performed at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, 92nd Y and at Top of the Rock at Rockefeller Center
