2020 Grand Marshal - Brig. Gen. Edward Chrystal

Brig. Gen. Edward Chrystal, a former Connecticut Farms Student, is currently retired from the New Jersey State Police at the rank of Lieutenant after twenty-five years of service. Brigadier General Chrystal is presently serving as the Land Component Commander for the New Jersey Army National Guard and also serves as the Superintendent of Veterans Haven North, a transitional home for homeless veterans. Brig. Gen. Chrystal marched in the 2019 Memorial Day Parade, escorting Gold Star Mother Maria Cacoilo.

What you'll see at the Parade

Featuring music by the Uptown String Band, floats, show cars, military units and vehicles, Clydesdale horses, civic and youth organizations and a historic war reenactment, the parade features something for people of all ages.  There will also be a Revolutionary War Battle at 11:30am at Veterans Honor Roll & Memorial Park. 
For best viewing, watch the parade from Pearl Harbor Square on Stuyvesant Ave.

Pre-Memorial Day Encampment

Residents are also encouraged to stop by Friberger Park, behind Town Hall, on May 24th from 1-4pm to experience the Pre-Memorial Day Revolutionary War Encampment, featuring American and British Crown Forces and historical demonstrations.
