This once a week winter program is geared toward families and their children who are looking to keep active and busy throughout the cold winter. Activities will vary each week. This is not a drop-off program, a responsible adult must attend with the child(ren). No registration is required!
When: Friday evenings from 6:30pm to 9:00pm Program ends March 22nd.

Arts & Crafts for Tots
This free interactive one hour arts and crafts class is perfect for children who need a creative outlet. Tots must be accompanied by a participating adult for the duration of the class. Program registration is required.
When: Wednesdays at 9:30am & 12:00pm
Where: Union Recreation Building, 1120 Commerce Ave.
Who: Children ages 3 to 5 with parent participation
Recreational Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities Program (R.O.I.D)
This grant funded program is to provide inclusive recreational activities such as art, music and gym activities between general education students and special needs students while building social skills in a variety of leisure settings. Registration is open. Space is limited to 16 total participants, first come first served basis.
When: Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4pm to 5:30pm
3rd - 5th Grade: March 19th - May 9th 6th - 8th Grade: May 14th - June 20th

Gentle Yoga for Adults
As part of its FREE Open Gym program, the Union Recreation Department is excited to announce a new adult yoga class. This program will be offered on a trial basis this Spring and will expand in the future if successful. This soothing and slow-paced practice focuses on moving into basic yoga poses while using the breath as a tool to remain present and mindful. Expect lots of stretching and lengthening with a heavy dose of relaxation to wrap up your practice and leave you feeling great. Each class will be open to the first 20 participants on a first come, first served basis. Advanced registration is not required.Participants must provide their own mat and are encouraged to bring their own yoga blocks, a towel and a bottle of water.
When: Mondays March 18th, 25th and April 1st, and 8th at 6:45pm and 7:45pm
Where: Kawameeh Middle School
Who: 18+ and a Union resident
