Arts & Crafts for Tots

This free interactive one hour arts and crafts class is perfect for children who need a creative outlet. Tots must be accompanied by a participating adult for the duration of the class. Program registration is required.

When: Wednesdays at 9:30am & 12:00pm

Recreational Opportunities for Individuals with Disabilities Program (R.O.I.D)

This grant funded program is to provide inclusive recreational activities such as art, music and gym activities between general education students and special needs students while building social skills in a variety of leisure settings. Registration is open. Space is limited to 16 total participants, first come first served basis.  

When: Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 4pm to 5:30pm

3rd - 5th Grade: March 19th - May 9th           6th - 8th Grade: May 14th - June 20th

Summer Tennis Clinic

There is no better way to start your child's fun-filled summer than with our Summer Tennis Clinic as we put an emphasis on fundamentals such as learning basic strokes and footwork. Our coaching staff, led by Kean University’s coach Michelle Luis, strives to create a positive and fun atmosphere that is perfect for both beginner and intermediate players. A tennis racquet and appropriate footwear are required. Players should prepare appropriately for the weather, including wearing sunscreen and bringing plenty of water. Program registration required. 

When: Mondays thru Thursdays, from July 1st to August 8th at 9am, 10am and 11am

Golf Skills Workshop - Currently Full

Our golf skills workshop is presented in conjunction with The First Tee of Raritan Valley and the Galloping Hill Golf Course. The program focuses on basic gameplay and is perfect for beginner and intermediate players.  Clubs and balls will be provided for participants who need them.  The program is open to children in 3rd through 5th grades and fills up quickly so don’t delay.

When: Thursdays, April 25th to June 13th from 4pm to 5pm

Flag Rugby Summer 2019

This program teaches basic ball skills as well as rugby rules and laws. Our teams play in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. All participants play and are involved on an equal basis. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to volunteer to help with practices or running home events.

The registration fee for the 1st child is $90, 2nd child $80, 3rd child or more is $70. Official team shirt is included with the registration fee. Velcro team shorts required - $25 (not included in registration fee)

Spring & Summer Lego Workshops

Play-Well Teknologies will be offering fun and educational lego sessions in 2019. Participants will learn the basics of science and math while having fun building with Legos.  Half-day camp programs will be offered in mid-August. Sessions are held at the Union Recreation Multipurpose Room.

Cost is $85 per session. Space is limited to 16 students, classes quickly fill up.
