The purpose of this project is to bring us closer as a community to overcome the isolation some of us are feeling right now. By sharing professional photos of families from their front steps, taken by Union-based photographer Allan Reider who will be donating his services, we hope to bring you closer with the friends and neighbors you miss spending time with or seeing around town.
Participating Township of Union families will pose for their photo from the front of their home while the photographer remains a safe distance away to snap the picture. The photo will be emailed to the family once processed and will also be shared on our social media @twpunionnj and here on the website.
In return, we are asking the participating families to make a donation to the Township of Union food pantry to help support those in our community who are struggling to provide food for their families. Now more than ever it’s important that we support each other and show our Union pride. Donations for the Union food pantry can be dropped off at the back of town hall, Monday through Friday from 9am - 3pm. The address for Town Hall is 1976 Morris Ave, however, you will want to come in behind the building so enter via Bond Dr. At the entrance on the far side of the building there will be a tent where you can leave your donation. After you drop your donation please call the Clerk’s office at 908.851.8501 so they know there is a donation waiting.
Limited slots available, schedule your family portrait today by calling 908.688.8808. To view Allan’s work click here.
