1. Can I pay my ticket over the phone?

Sorry we do not accept phone payments, however, you may pay online at www.njmcdirect.com, through the mail or in person at the court window.

2. I need to change/extend my time-payment, can you help me?

Only the Judge can modify a time-payment. You may appear at any court session for a modification.

3. The Court appearance box is not checked on my ticket, why do I still have to appear?

State law mandates which violations are mandatory and which are payable. It may not always be checked on the ticket, however, you would not be able to pay a mandatory violation, an appearance is required.

4. I live out of state, how do I take care of my ticket/complaint?

You may request a Hardship Affidavit be mailed to you . The request must be in writing and submitted by fax, e-mail or regular mail. Please include your correct address and ticket or complaint number.

5. How can I get a certified disposition? What is the cost?

Fax or mail a written request to Union Municipal Court, P.O. Box 98, Union, New Jersey 07083-0098 or send a fax at (908)851-5256, please include the following information: Name, address, phone number, date of birth, type of offense (traffic or criminal) and the approximate date of offense or last court date. There is no charge for a certified disposition.
